I first started practicing yoga in 2011. While I started my practice for the physical health benefits, I quickly realized the many other benefits yoga had to offer. Over the years yoga has become such an integral part of my life, and it only seemed like a natural progression to study to teach the practice I love so much to others. I began my yoga teacher journey in 2018 and completed my 200hr YTT in yin yoga with Stephanie Calhoun. While I have practiced many different styles of yoga, I have always been drawn to yin due to my very yang lifestyle as a mental health clinician. I love sharing space with students, helping them to slow down, breathe and move mindfully. After becoming pregnant with my son, I began studying pre- and postnatal yoga to learn healthy ways to move and support my body during this time in my life. I have since become very passionate about this area and have completed over 100hr of training in pregnancy and postnatal yoga. When I’m not working, teaching or practicing yoga, I love spending time with my family, gardening and enjoying the outdoors.
